Mission Statement
The Green Team’s mission is to promote environmental stewardship within the Islamic Community Center of Potomac through education, advocacy, and action. We strive to inspire our local community to adopt sustainable practices and reduce its environmental impact, while recognizing the moral responsibility we have as Muslims to care for the earth and its inhabitants. By integrating our faith and environmental values, we aim to create a more just and sustainable future for all.

“The earth is green and beautiful and Allah has appointed you his stewards over it”
Objectives

NEW GAME LAUNCHED
Green Team member – Sufyana Johnson – developed a fun and educational game people can play on their phones or computers to help them learn how to reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost during Ramadan at ICCP.
“There are ten levels to the game, each harder than the one before, representing the last ten nights of Ramadan, and you get to celebrate Eid if you make it through them all,” Johnson said.
